For my Friends

* Enjoy the flashback! Some of you probably received this at some point a few years back...

Here we are once again at a point in our lives where we choose separate paths, go separate ways, establish ourselves as individuals.

But even though the roads we take, the trails we blaze, and the paths we navigate may be different, nothing can sever the bond of our friendship.

Our friendship has withstood the test of time. It has grown and matured over the years. It has been a source of strength in a brutal world as well as a source of consistency amidst chaos.

No matter how great the physical distance between us may be, we are always together in spirit. Our souls and hearts are linked in a way that cannot be hindered by obstacles.

As each of us makes our own decisions and becomes our own person, it is not without the constant support and freedom to grow from those we call friends.

So go forth knowing that if you rise, a friend will be there to share your shining moment. But also know that if you fall, a friend will be there to pick you up,
dust you off, and return you to your path.

A true friend listens, loves, and supports unconditionally. A true friend gives without expecting anything in return. A true friend loves in spite of circumstance and does not judge. A true friend is a shoulder to cry on and a heart to confide in.

Thank you for your gift of friendship. You give, you love, you support, you inspire. In good times or in bad, you find just the right words to say and just the right things to do.

For these things I am eternally grateful. Without you, my life would be a little less beautiful and a little more crazy. Please know that you can expect the same thing in return from me. You serve such an important purpose in my life and for that I love you.
