New

Ladies, it is a new year. And that means new beginnings. It is the perfect opportunity to reset and set free any extra baggage. To be brave enough to let go of the past, the old habits, and anything else clouding our lives and keeping us from living freely and without question. We are strong, independent, confident women in control of every facet of our lives. Perhaps we need to start by challenging ourselves to let go of the games we play. Not with the men (using that term loosely) in our lives, but with ourselves. Save the games for the girls. I’m starting this year by letting go of my former favorite game, “Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda.” The dates you could have had. The parties you would have attended. The trips you should have taken. But, no matter what it could have been or what it should have been, frankly, it just wasn’t. Why waste time mourning something that never even existed? Release yourself from the holding pattern that is preventing you from opening yourself up to something new. Savor the present and be prepared to embrace the real thing when the time comes.
